Top Personal Finance Apps on Android in New Zealand Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the personal finance segment on the Android platform in New Zealand showcased interesting trends across several top applications. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of these apps.

Booster NZ experienced a fluctuating download pattern, with a peak in early August reaching approximately 790 downloads. Despite this, the app did not generate any revenue throughout the quarter.

Subscription Manager saw a notable increase in downloads during late August, peaking at about 520 downloads per week. However, similar to Booster NZ, it recorded no revenue.

Splitwise demonstrated a steady increase in both revenue and downloads. The app’s revenue grew from $193 to $352 by late September. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 258 weekly downloads.

Expense Tracker – StayWise showed an initial rise in downloads and active users, peaking at 195 downloads and 600 active users by mid-August. However, both metrics saw a decline by the end of the quarter.

Finally, Budgeting App - Spend Tracker experienced a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at $136 in early September, while maintaining a steady download rate of around 89 to 119 weekly.
